Setting the Scene in Byron Bay

This winter, we escaped to the sun-soaked shores of Byron Bay for a two-day shoot to capture our upcoming summer collection, In The Summertime. While the calendar said “winter,” Byron gifted us two perfect days of warmth and golden light — the kind of days that make you forget the season and dream of summer memories waiting to be made.

Our goal was simple: to bottle that blissful feeling of summer. The carefree laughter, the sun on your skin, and the sense that time slows down when the days are long.

Day One: Sun Ranch Magic

Our first day was spent at the iconic Sun Ranch Byron, an award-winning retreat that has graced the pages of Vogue. With “In the Summertime” by Mungo Jerry on repeat, the vintage summer vibes came to life as the models danced and laughed their way through the day.

We shot by Sun Ranch’s legendary pool, posed alongside their majestic horses, and relaxed in the warm tones of their communal lounge. The atmosphere was electric; full of jokes, giggles, and candid moments that perfectly embodied our theme.

To add to the fun, we styled the scenes with playful SunnyLife props; think oversized pool rings, an inflatable beach ball, and a dreamy pool mattress. Every frame oozed sunshine.

Day Two: Beach Bliss at Watagos

Day two took us seaside to the breathtaking Watagos Beach, where the collection truly came alive. We set up a nostalgic beachside scene with umbrellas, deck chairs, shells, and even a vintage eski stocked for a summer day out. A custom surfboard with our tagline made its debut, carving our brand right into the sand.

The models embraced their inner beach kids, running along the shoreline with flippers and a snorkel mask, making each other laugh until their cheeks hurt. Later in the afternoon, we shifted gears to capture the joy of cruising the foreshore on bikes and treating ourselves to drippy, delicious ice creams in the sun.

Across both days, one thing was clear - the joy was real. Our models weren’t just posing; they were living the moments, and their personalities shone through every frame. The content we created is full of light, laughter, and that unmistakable energy that only summer brings.
