My name is Hayley, this is my daughter, and this is our story.
I was 17 years old when I found out I was pregnant. At this stage in my life, I had no real friends, I was lost in a deep depression, and I was caught up in the wrong crowd. My sister had just been in a serious accident and the last thing I wanted to do was put my family through any more stress.
It wasn’t until I was 19 weeks pregnant that my family found out and they were amazing. The hugged me and assured me they would support me, no matter what.
Flash forward 8 years later and here we are. That baby that I hid from the world is now my best friend and I’m beyond grateful that she came to me when she did. She was unexpected but perfectly timed.
I am the person I am today because of her. She made me want to be a better person so I changed my life in the best ways to become the mum she deserved. I honestly don’t know where I would be without her, but thankfully I will never find out.
